# Mortar

> Mortar holds a trade or contracting business together: the website, enquiries or leads, quotes or estimates, jobs, invoicing, getting found online, and an assistant called Morris.

Core is £49 per business per month in the UK (+ VAT) and $49 in the US. Pro is £79 in the UK (+ VAT) and $79 in the US. Grow is £29 / $29. Grow + Ads is £99 / $99, plus the business's own ad spend. No per-user fees. Free to build. 14-day free trial starts when the site goes live. Cancel any time. Enter FOUNDING at checkout for 20% off Core for 12 months. First-time customers only. Limited to the first 100. Valid until 31 March 2027.

The plan rule: if Morris only drafts and the owner approves what a customer sees, that is Core. If Morris answers, qualifies and books without the owner pressing send, that is Pro. Grow and Grow + Ads are optional add-ons on either plan.

UK pages live at the root of https://mortar.site. US pages live under https://mortar.site/us. There is no automatic country redirect. UK pages use UK English (enquiries, quotes, van). US pages use US English (leads, estimates, truck).

## What is included

- Core: a website Morris can draft, a free Mortar web address or the business's own domain, an enquiries or leads inbox, live chat, replies from the app or email, booking requests the owner confirms, Google reviews, quotes or estimates, invoices, card payments, jobs and scheduling, the mobile app, and Morris drafting for the owner to approve.
- Pro, on top of Core: Morris answers website chat and customer messages, texts back missed calls, answers the phone, books jobs, screens leads, and can give ballpark prices from the price list. Morris always says he is an assistant, hands over when unsure, never quotes outside the owner's price rules, and every conversation lands in the inbox.
- Grow, optional: directory listings, weekly AI-visibility checks, suggested fixes the owner approves, review campaigns, and a monthly report. Grow + Ads also runs Google Ads inside a budget the owner sets. Google bills the ad spend. Mortar does not hold the ad money.
- Invoices, payments and expenses sync to Xero or QuickBooks. UK copy leads with Xero. US copy leads with QuickBooks.
- Morris does not invent reviews, prices or qualifications.

## What Mortar does not do

- Mortar is not tax software. It does not file with HMRC or the IRS.
- UK consumer card surcharging is banned. Mortar does not add a card fee onto a UK customer's bill. In the US, a surcharge depends on the state and the card networks. Mortar does not add one automatically.
- Partner sites are not white-label. They carry a "Powered by Mortar" credit.
- Legal notices (privacy, terms, cookies, data processing) are not published yet.

## Partners

Agencies: £249 per month in the UK, or $249 in the US, for the first 10 client sites, then £20 or $20 per extra site. Total = base + max(0, sites − 10) × extra site. Not white-label. Sites carry a Powered by Mortar credit.
